The Study in Europe Fair Kenya, which is part of the ISFA International Student & Career Fairs Africa, will give you the chance to:

• meet Kenyan students, academics, parents and professionals who are interested in the broad range of study opportunities in Europe;
• introduce and to promote your country, your institution and study programmes to Kenyan audiences.

An institutional networking event, preceding the Study in Europe Fair, strives to connect European higher education institutions with their Kenyan counterparts and to enhance cooperation in tertiary education.

Participation fee for higher education institutions: 1.000 EUR (excl. VAT)

This includes:

• an equipped working space for one day with printed back panel;
• basic furniture and facilities;
• one entry in the online exhibitorcatalogue;
• free participation of the institution’s representatives in the institutional networking event

Kenyan education system and demographics

The tertiary education sector in Kenya is steadily expanding.  While there were only 5 public universities in 2005, there are now 37. Thus, the total number of universities and colleges in the country are 73 (37 public universities, 25 private universities, three private university colleges and eight institutions with provisional accreditation).

In 2022, 173,345 applicants secured their university slots with a mean grade of C plus or higher. This figure increased to 201,133 applicants who were eligible for admission to universities in 2023. With a record-breaking 965,501 candidates expected to take tests in 2024, the trend is predicted to continue.

What studying abroad means for Kenyan Students

Kenya has close to 15,000 students studying abroad. Top study destinations include UK, Canada and the US.

Kenyan students are also interested to pursue their higher education European countries, including Germany, France, Italy, Hungary, Finland, and other nations. Apart from exploring diverse languages and cultures, this accords them the opportunity to benefit from an extensive choice of courses and gain international experience, skills and knowledge.
